Munsiyari (Pithoragarh District), Unexplored Uttrakhand

Image
Munsiyari is a tucked away little  tehsil  in the Pithoragarh District (Uttarakhand) and is considered to be the base for many intense treks of the Himalayas. The name literally means “place with snow” and is surrounded by beautiful snow capped mountains. The hill station located on the banks of river Goriganga is fast becoming a wanted tourist destination for mountaineers, trekkers, glacier photographers & of course nature lovers. This isn’t exactly the kinds where you’ll want to head over the weekend but it IS a place to visit before you visit any other destination as such distance (650 kms from Delhi). The treks will offer you beautiful views of Panchhuli snowfields. Since it is etched in the inner lines of Himalayan range (between borders of China, Nepal & India), the access is restricted. The place is generally chilly all year round because of its height – 12,000 ft. +. This place is still undiscovered & except for the Monsoons, any time is good to visit....

The Nest Cottages, Kilbury Road, | District Nainital, Pangot

Image
Share “Explore the unexplored peace with undisturbed, serene with valleys, forest” I had a wonderful time with my family at Nest Cottages. That was the best decision to take a break from stressful life and hustle bustle of city and away from commercialised hills which are the only options we think of when we think of hills. If you are someone who love serenity, who love hills and jungles and who just don;t want so much crowd but just undisturbed peace in hills then Pangot is a best hill station to explore. This place is still untouched and has its own charm, and Nest Cottages just added the comfort to that charm. They are beautiful cottages with huge balconies to sit and gaze at nature and feel the cool breeze and hear the chirps of birds. Its a real experience with nature. Cottages are well maintained, services are excellent, food is just what you can ask for. Its like a homestay, where every staff makes you feel at home and the food is just like home but the only differ...
